Audi A5 with 450,000 Swarovski Crystals

Russian tuner Shampa stole the show at a tuning exhibition in Moscow, when they rolled out a white Audi A5 covered with 450,000 Swarovski crystals.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKstKwo14EeHL7DuCFNsZNxK8KZ0aqjCDgWVDwjlI2j5PNH7N3bc4_tg7z5GIer3hiTyqlHHA3lhQ9-e35OYi5xKS8YS95u_fDBxjyoci0PbKwXw0z-z7eZAoyLMhN5gyAczVnevJnnMo/s1600/2.jpg

Now I’ve seen some pimped out rides in my days, including a gold-plated Mercedes, but I have to say Swarovski crystals are the best choice if you want your car to really shine. I was sold when I saw that SL600 covered in 300,000 Swarovski crystals, in Tokyo, and Shampa’s latest creation just made it that much more obvious.

Apparently they ordered the crystals directly from Austria, it took 1,440 man hours to cover this baby in bling and cost the Russian tuner 6 million rubles, which is around $215,000. It’s the only one of its kind. Odditycentral

Top 10 Teen Driving Mistakes

Teen Drivers make a lot of mistakes and are in the realm of being one of the highest demographics that are involved in car accidents.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_6U65kWUmexvj-VI51uFcKEdQgdTJmSQUAprPu9meO_7OZuBLCb783GLN16jDF3fzPRzODnxKvSGnUSenSV6rz-UxrySG6Jza6T3D8pyj9VW8DXZRSE1ikQhxQ1wjdrN3-aJIjB7TQOuh/s400/Top+driving+mistakes.jpg

There are several reasons that you could think of why teen drivers are involved in more accidents, but here are the top 10 teen driving mistakes

1. Risk taking — Know that it can happen to you. Car crashes are the leading cause of injury and death for people ages 15 to 20. It’s not just about you: Crashes affect pedestrians, passengers and other drivers, as well as their families. You don’t want to do something you’ll regret the rest of your life.

2. Not wearing a seat belt — Use a safety belt and insist that all your passengers do so as well. About two-thirds of teens killed in vehicle crashes were not wearing safety belts. Wearing a seat belt reduces your chances of being hurt or killed in a crash by 45 percent.

3. Speed — Stick to the speed limit. One-third of teen fatalities involve speeding. Obeying the speed limit reduces the severity of a crash you can’t avoid.

4. Rowdy riders — Don’t load up your car with friends. Adding one teen passenger to a vehicle increases a 16- or 17-year-old driver’s crash risk by about 50 percent. With two or more teen passengers, the crash risk increases fivefold.

5. Cell phones — Focus on driving. Save the phone calls, text messaging and other gadgets for after the driving is done. Talking on a cell phone while driving can double reaction time.

6. CD players — Turn the music off while learning to drive. Research shows that adjusting the radio is the most common distraction for drivers between the ages of 16, and driving and channel-surfing don’t mix.

7. Late-night cruising — Don’t drive late at night. Teen crash rates at night (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.) are twice as high as daytime rates. Obey parental curfews.

8. Driving under the influence — Stay sober. Of 16- to 17-year-old drivers killed in crashes, one in six would have been considered legally intoxicated by adult standards.

9. Peer pressure — Make good choices and don’t be afraid to “speak up.” Before you get in a car with a friend, ask: Is this a person you trust? Is he in the right frame of mind to drive safely? Are you prepared to speak up if he drives dangerously?

10. Overconfidence — Inexperience and overconfidence can lead to crashes when new drivers encounter unfamiliar or unexpected situations. Parents should supervise and monitor their teen drivers, even after they get their license.

World's Smallest Car Made By Perry Watkins

World's smallest car made by British inventor Perry Watkins, the “Wind Up” measures just 41 inches high, 51 inches long and 26 inches wide and is now listed in the Guinness Book of World Records with a license to drive on public streets. It can drive 37 miles per hour and even has seat belts.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilwcY9XeJQGViHf9qBmcrGX06Abn0VOBPrQhPw9k6F_XEgPB4mv0NPhEK80ixVpas244OAdQK4PSYM73FTKt8741Ea5g5DER_z5MbchDnFtieaX_lGj1uWrf2kBR9_TVHHoCJVSOZE_Q/s400/101108-wind-up-car-7a.grid-8x2.jpg

Watkins used a coin-operated children's ride, which he repainted, for the body and repurposed a chassis from a Shanghai Shenke quad bike. He used rear tires and wheels from a Honda Monkey motorcycle. The front wheels were custom-made to fit tires from a 1939 Brockhouse Corgi paratrooper’s mini motorcycle. Watkins has even affixed a revolving key to the back of the car to give it the appearance of a wind-up toy.

Watkins is not new to building odd vehicles; he has also invented the “Flatmobile,” the world’s lowest car.

TS 1X, New Super Hybrid Car from Honda

A few months ago in Los Angeles Auto Show, Honda has introduced its first flying car. Without waiting too long, Honda with its motto the Power of Dream, is making another revolution in its concept car design. One of the most popular vehicles at Honda’s booth at Tokyo Auto Salon is the TS-1X, a hybrid sports car. Hybrid cars have an undeserved reputation of under-performance but the TS-1X looks nothing like a slouch.

Based on the CR-Z, the TS-1X sports a matted black finish, fighter-jet style aero kit and yellow highlights throughout, including a set of yellow-colored Nissin blakes inside its oversized wheels. Super cool for hybrid car eh?

TS-1X gets a fighter-jet inspired aero kit that actually seems to work with the CR-Z’s futuristic styling. Optimized by controlling the flow of air around 50:50 that achieves an ideal balance of aerodynamics.

TA-1, The Tornado Attack Vehicle

The Tornado Attack Vehicle, or TA-1, was originally built by Jeep to race at Baja California. After five years and over half a million dollars-worth of work, it now sports a 700-horsepower V-8 engine, 16-gauge steel panels coated with impact-resistant polyurethane, and a hydraulic system that allows it to drop its belly to the road in order not to be blown over when parked in high winds.

http://www.cars-show.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/tornadoattackvehicleta-1-02.jpg

Its windows and wheel wells are protected with bulletproof M10 Lexan, while its windshield incorporates three coats of DuPont Mylar film – just a single sheet is said to be able to stop a .38 caliber bullet.

QTvan Caravan, World's Smallest Caravan

It can be towed by a mobility scooter, measures just 2m by 75cm and is being suggested as a way of bagging a spot for the Royal Wedding… meet the world's smallest caravan. Despite the diminutive measurements the £5,500 QTvan caravan still boasts a full-sized bed, a 19 inch television, a drinks cabinet and tea making facilities.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuN2mDIRk2t5peNUxvtTuk7uVmTih5Qpc8Rk8JKBdyFnt4MLyUsLw0WdtSasWdLnF7oZudZBVJGRec5We_IlaL1-gxiVdGFvrKxa2nq-ZPysUyfUHzkOcB6rLl-i_CZtJ_5CeORX8waHM/s1600/QTvan2.jpg

Optional extras include solar roof panels, a SKY TV satellite dish, a games console, extra-wide wing mirror for mobility scooter and custom paint jobs. And makers say the mini caravan is so small that if you need anything else, you could even tow it into a supermarket… though don't expect to get there too quickly, it has a top speed of 6mph.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkEG8htkPnsaJx-FH_REMkFMqqvDJubZAdqjtzR7oy4GeQ7bUGawRu7HD_QaV93oUigbmg93bDlsVgL2waNhGlCmFYFVp81kg5rUSDXxDlVUPKFFZHajJKggxNDXqgFXv3ULK4zN5cKHY/s1600/QTvan1_1.jpg

A spokesperson for the firm said: "Elderly spectators hoping to bag the best spot on the Royal Wedding procession route, but unwilling to spend a night camping on the pavement, can now buy a caravan designed to be towed by a mobility scooter.

"The QTvan is the world’s most environmentally-friendly caravan. Using a conventional caravan for a ‘staycation’ within Britain remains a relatively green way of taking a holiday.

"But if the electricity used to charge the mobility scooter is bought from a green provider, the QTvan is entirely carbon neutral." Developed by Environmental Transport Agency (ETA), the caravan was designed to highlight the 220,000 people who use a mobility scooter without breakdown cover.

Lamborghini Ankonian

Until now, I haven’t seen photos with this amazing Lamborghini, called the Ankonian. This car looks like the Bat Mobile and I hope it will be soon into production and running out on streets.
